Lymphedema Evaluation and Treatment
The gold standard of treatment for lymphedema management is complete decongestive therapy which consists of: good skin care, thorough patient education, therapeutic exercises, manual lymphatic drainage, and compression. Each patient will receive individualized treatment and excellent care to meet their personal and physical therapy goals.
Oncology Rehabilitation
TSM strives to meet needs in our community that are currently lacking. Through extensive training our therapists have experienced, we are able to provide individualized physical therapy services to individuals with cancer and cancer related edema.
Conditions Treated
Lymphedema (swelling) of the upper body, lower body, trunk, and head and neck
Wounds/Chronic Venous Ulcers associated with lymphedema
Oncology related edemas, fatigue, postural dysfunction, and pain
Procedures
Debridement: Removal of necrotic tissue from a wound as appropriate.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Mobilization of lymph fluid to facilitate skin changes and a reduction in limb size.
Compression: Multi-layer compressive dressings to support the lymphatic and venous systems, to shape the limb appropriately, and to reduce limb size.
Dry Needling: Intermuscular dry needling with or without electrical stimulation for general orthopedic conditions and pain.
Manual Therapy: Hands-on manual therapy to promote tissue extensibility, scar softening, reduce pain, and improve overall mobility; includes thoracic manipulation.

1 Session: $90
6 Sessions: $500 (expires 12 months from purchase)
10 Sessions: $800 (expires 12 months from purchase)
Sessions are 45 - 60 minutes and consist of thorough, cleansing, and relaxing manual lymphatic drainage to affected extremities. Sessions are designed for anyone, but specifically for those who have completed their plan of care in our lymphedema center and need extra MLD following discharge from plan of care.
The program is also for those who have had any type of plastic surgery/liposuction to prevent status post edema.
